Unlike some of my friends, peers and colleagues, I find no shame in reading genre fiction. Especially when it is written by the great Michael Connelly.

His books take up a pretty big chunk of my Summer Reading List. One of the books pictured isn’t actually fiction, however. Crime Beat is a collection of Connelly’s crime reporting from back when he was still a reporter. It’s fascinating and I highly recommend it if your into true crime or journalism. You can find it for really cheap at most bookstores these days.
