About to go see “Inception”! Here’s a new song I wrote for my upcoming summer EP.
I can feel the sun going down around me. And you can feel it too. We’ve got time for one game of hide and seek. All of them against just me and you. And while I am counting. I cheat and look out on The street and see they’re already gone. They’re all gone, gone, gone. And I say Why do we always lose? We always lose. Why do we always lose? We always lose. The cancer’s the bastard son of jetplane fuel And bad luck I know we don’t deserve. Money flys out my pocket and into waiting hands And months fly by my face, faster than I can stand. And I have quit counting The debt that is mounting And let you take my hand and say There, there, there, there. Why do we always lose? We always lose. Why do we always lose? We always lose. And I say it’s hard to keep my head up When things are always looking down. My eyes just want to follow The arrows to the ground. I can tell that I am done from The fork stuck in my side. But listen when I say that I’ll love you ‘till I die. We may always lose, we always lose. But I know that I won’t lose you. We may always lose, we always lose. But I know that I won’t lose you Before you lose me.
